Compliance Administrator

Location: Northland

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am–5.00pm (40 hours per week)

Are you an experienced administrator with a strong eye for detail and an interest in compliance?

Our client is looking for a Compliance Administrator to join their administration team in this varied and important role. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will support the business across tax administration, AML/CFT, trusts, ACC and general client services.

About the role

This is more than a traditional administration position. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance systems, records and processes are accurate, up to date and aligned with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering tax processes, including tax returns, payment letters, provisional tax and IRD correspondence.
  • Managing trust information, reviews and compliance requirements.
  • Supporting AML/CFT processes, CDD approvals, risk assessments and monthly audits.
  • Preparing and filing prescribed transaction reports when required.
  • Researching and interpreting relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing client services and administration support during busy periods and staff absences.
  • Providing reception cover and responding to client enquiries.
  • Preparing reports, correspondence and documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting continuous improvement of compliance processes.

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experienced in administration, ideally within accounting, legal, financial or professional services.
  • Confident working with legislation, compliance requirements and confidential information.
  • A strong communicator who builds positive relationships.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently while being a strong team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Professional, dependable and customer focused.
