As a growing company, they are looking for a Commissioning Agent to join their team.



Overview:

The Commissioning Agent is responsible for overseeing all commissioning efforts on assigned projects, ensuring successful execution from design through final walkthrough. This role requires managing personnel, collaborating with design professionals, and maintaining all necessary documentation for project closeout.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all commissioning activities for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with design and operational requirements.
  • Organize commissioning efforts during design, construction, warranty, and final walkthrough phases.
  • Assign and oversee tasks for project-based engineers and designers.
  • Manage project scheduling and report resource needs to the Engineering Manager.
  • Adjust commissioning plans, drawings, calculations, and specifications as necessary.
  • Ensure familiarity with project scope, engineering budget, and construction budget.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining commissioning standards and best practices.
  • Utilize engineering principles, mathematics, and software tools to execute project requirements efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the design and construction teams to meet project schedules and budgets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to project needs.

Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of experience in the automation field.
  • BS Degree OR extensive construction background
  • Knowledgeable of basic software computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software and engineering applications.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance.


Working Conditions:
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and use hands for handling or reaching. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Willingness and ability to drive to business appointments and job sites within Ohio.
  • Exposure to construction sites, including fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Occasional work in extreme conditions; noise levels may be loud.
