Commercial Lines Account Manager
Location: Northfield, NJ
Salary: up to $75,000 + Medical, Dental, Vision, and PTO
License Required: Active NJ Property & Casualty License

Our client, a well-established, family-owned insurance agency with a legacy in South Jersey, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated insurance professional to take ownership of a commercial lines portfolio while working in a supportive, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse commercial lines book, including general liability, commercial property, business auto, workers’ compensation, and umbrella policies

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial clients, providing guidance on coverage, risk management, and policy structure

  • Handle renewals, endorsements, and day-to-day servicing of accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention

  • Work closely with carriers to resolve issues, obtain quotes, and ensure accurate, timely issuance of policies

  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations for clients

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including producers and support staff, to ensure seamless service delivery

  • Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system and track critical deadlines for renewals and compliance

  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to existing clients

Qualifications

  • Active NJ Property & Casualty license required

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial lines account management

  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and coverages

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

  • Proficiency with insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
