Job Title: Sr Commercial Lender

Location: Onsite – Dallas/Fort Worth, TX

About the Opportunity:

A well-established, mid-to-large sized community bank with a strong footprint in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) market is seeking an experienced Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Lender to join their team. This is a high-impact role for a motivated individual who brings strong market knowledge, deep community connections, and a proven ability to source and structure quality commercial loans.

Position Overview:

This is an onsite role based in the DFW area and will be responsible for building a C&I loan portfolio from the ground up. While the primary focus is on C&I lending, the role may also involve a smaller portion of owner-occupied commercial real estate loans. The position requires collaboration with internal teams, including close partnership with the bank’s treasury services group, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, structure, and close C&I loans to new and existing business clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the DFW business community.
  • Collaborate with the bank’s treasury team to provide clients with holistic financial solutions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of local market conditions, industries, and competitor trends.
  • Perform credit analysis and work closely with underwriting to ensure sound credit decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Potentially assume management or leadership responsibilities, depending on experience and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending.
  • Strong network and presence in the DFW business community.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate, underwrite, and manage C&I loan relationships.
  • Familiarity with owner-occupied CRE lending is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with strong business development acumen.
  • Management experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
