Commercial Credit Associate
Job DescriptionA private credit investment firm is conducting a confidential search for a Commercial Credit Associate to join its Portfolio Management team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven investment platform that focuses on underserved markets, including the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct credit analysis and commercial underwriting for debt and equity investments
- Develop and maintain financial models, including valuation and cash flow analysis
- Perform market research and comparative analysis on relevant companies and sectors
- Support transaction execution through due diligence and documentation
- Maintain and develop borrower relationships throughout the investment lifecycle
- Partner with Asset Management on ongoing portfolio monitoring and performance tracking
- Identify and assess investment risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 3–8 years of experience in commercial underwriting, credit analysis, investment banking, consulting, or financial analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong analytical and judgment skills
- Strong ethical foundation and professional integrity
