Commercial Banking Officer, C&I Focus

The role

Own the full life cycle of C&I relationships. Source new business, structure and price credits, guide the deal through underwriting, coordinate closing, then manage and grow the relationship. Some exposure to CRE that behaves like C&I, for example owner-occupied and cash flow driven multifamily, new construction tied to operating companies, industrial, and occasional aircraft. Primary emphasis remains C&I.

What you will do

  • Build a high quality C&I portfolio, target new production north of 15M annually

  • Prospect through centers of influence, industry networks, and direct calling

  • Analyze financials yourself, identify cash flow, collateral, and the five Cs, and craft the credit story before handoff to underwriting

  • Structure lines, terms, equipment facilities, and participations when appropriate

  • Serve as point person through documentation and closing, then provide ongoing relationship management and cross-sell of treasury services

  • Maintain pricing discipline and margins consistent with bank goals

Requirements

  • Strong credit athlete who loves to hunt, then sit with the numbers and make them make sense

  • Proven C&I production with an active COI network

  • Hands-on understanding of cash flow, collateral, covenants, and loan documentation

  • Relationship owner who keeps the customer, not a producer who hands everything off

  • Team mindset with the judgment to know when a deal fits policy and how to structure it so it works
