About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lines professional to take ownership of a high-value book of business and play a key role in client relationships. You’ll manage a diverse portfolio — with a strong foundation in construction and real estate, but exposure to a range of industries — while working alongside senior leaders and specialized teams. Within 6–12 months, the role will evolve into a Team Lead position, offering mentorship responsibilities and a chance to shape the brokerage’s future growth.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage an established $8M+ book of business, with a focus on Commercial Construction.

• Handle policies including Commercial Property, General Liability, Excess Liability, Auto, Crime, and Builders Risk (with internal teams supporting Cyber and Project-specific insurance).

• Actively participate in client meetings, both virtual and in-person, often alongside senior principals.

• Negotiate terms, coverages, and premiums with underwriters to deliver tailored client solutions.

• Lead renewals, conduct risk assessments, analyze claims histories, and prepare risk management strategies.

• Partner with Associates and TSRs for administrative support (certificates, invoicing, endorsements, etc.).

• Work closely with claims teams to guide clients through negotiations and settlements.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• RIBO License.

• 3+ years of commercial lines experience (brokerage or insurer).

• 1+ year of leadership experience.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.

• Microsoft Office proficiency; pursuing CAIB, CIP, or CRM.

Assets:

• Completed CAIB, CIP, or CRM.

• Experience with TAM.

• Knowledge of PowerPoint.
