Location: Baytown TX

Credit Union is seeking an experienced Collections Manager to lead our efforts in protecting assets and maintaining strong member relationships. This role oversees all collection activities, ensures compliance with state and federal laws, and manages a high-performing collections team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, train, and coach Collections staff to ensure compliance with FDCPA, Texas Debt Collection Law, and FCRA.

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize collection success and recover collateral.

  • Oversee legal and bankruptcy cases, working closely with attorneys.

  • Monitor account audits, calls, and correspondence for accuracy, professionalism, and compliance.

  • Manage the disposition of repossessed collateral and maintain accurate records.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in collections management, preferably in a credit union or financial institution.

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal debt collection laws.

  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
