Co-Chief Investment Officer
We are seeking a dynamic, hard-charging individual who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. This position as Co-Chief Investment Officer is a critical member of the firm that will help shape the direction of the firm for many years. This individual will work closely with the current Chief Investment Officer and our two full-time, senior research analysts that make up the Research Team.
The Co-Chief Investment Officer oversees the investment research team and is a key member of the Investment Committee (IC). The Co-CIO will report to the current CIO, though advisors are considered the direct “clients” of the research team.
The Co-Chief Investment Officer is expected to quickly elevate to sole CIO and take over the research team management responsibilities for the current CIO.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the existing research team and prioritize research activities for the firm. Coordinate the preparation of all materials for the Investment Committee (IC) and lead the IC meetings
- Perform in-depth due diligence and prepare investment recommendations for opportunities across asset classes including public funds, private debt, private equity & private real estate, and non-correlated categories
- Oversee the development of investment models for the major asset classes
- Work with advisors to provide data and opinions regarding asset allocation, risk analysis, liquidity management, and investment selection
- Lead meetings with investment sponsors and other relevant professionals to assess and evaluate investment managers and direct investment opportunities
- Build out a peer network to leverage for sourcing, diligence, and collaboration
- With the existing research team, actively monitor existing public and private investments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher. MBA and/or CFA welcomed
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience. Must have either private investment experience or investment manager diligence experience. Background in asset allocation preferred over security analysis
