Project Services – Team Lead, Cloud Practice
Summary
As a Cloud Practice Team Lead, the candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting with fixed fee or time and material projects. Successful candidates should have expert knowledge and skills required for installing, designing and supporting environments that include Microsoft’s Cloud Services of Azure and O365 offerings. These projects include assessments, consulting, new deployments, upgrades, and break fix. This role will help other engineers of the cloud and DC teams plan, design and implement these projects. It is imperative that the candidate can self-learn and provide leadership for implementing these new technologies.
Technical Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in systems infrastructure design, support, and administration
· At least 4 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
· Azure AD, storage, and compute including Application Proxy (NDES), Storage Account, Virtual Machines, Virtual Desktop, Backup, Automation, and Functions
· Azure identity management including SSO (SAML), OAuth, MFA, RBAC, PIM, conditional access, monitoring / alerting, device registration, identity protection, and hybrid identity management / AD connect
· Azure networking including ExpressRoute, VNet, Virtual WAN, VPN, NSG, Load Balancer, BGP, routing, and firewall concepts
· Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune & Autopilot)
· Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
· Microsoft Exchange Online & On-Prem
· Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance
· Microsoft Information Protection
· Mimecast, EOP, and Defender for 365
Certification Requirements
· Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Azure Certifications
Non-Technical Requirements
· Must demonstrate the ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish
· Ability to develop project plans and drive team members to execute accordingly
· Act as an escalation point for other members of the engineering teams
· Assist the sales team by providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) When necessary, provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to other members of the engineering team
· Share knowledge with other members of the engineering teams through lunch and learns or other organized meetings
· Experience providing timely completion of assigned work, on-time and within budget
· Achieve service revenue goals

· Ability to communicate and work closely as a team with Project Management, NOC Analyst, Account Executives, and management teams

· Ability to provide daily updates documenting project progress and service hours

· Strong documentation skills, knowledge of Visio, and ability to create detailed customer diagrams and documentation to drive efficiency of operations
· Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction as measured by customer surveys and other forms of customer feedback
· Work independently and exercise reasonable judgement with little supervision while providing clear evidence and results of activities and accomplishments
· Ability to work after hours and occasionally on the weekend
· Ability to participate in Peer Review process when assigned by providing timely and accurate feedback on Statements of Work
· Ability to travel to various customer locations within the Chicagoland area
· Travel outside the Chicagoland area on seldom occasions
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Experience managing a ticket queue, working on multiple projects and issues at once, while providing regular updates to customers and project managers/NOC Analyst
· Experience with server management tools
· Ability to work with managed services support teams to transition knowledge and participate in the continued development of operational efficiencies
· Manage assigned tickets to completion, escalate as necessary
