Clinical Pediatric Geneticist at Children's Hospital

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Pediatric Geneticist to join our leading-edge Genetics Practice in the heart of Philadelphia, PA. Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide genetics consultations and screenings focusing on conditions like pediatric cancers and intellectual disabilities.
  • Perform thorough evaluations and consults for birth defects, developmental delays, and suspected genetic abnormalities.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, and administrative staff.
  • Design and lead educational initiatives for medical students and residents.
  • Engage in cutting-edge research studies and clinical trials aimed at advancing the field of pediatric genetics.
  • Develop strong rapport with a diverse patient base to facilitate tailored, empathetic care solutions.
  • Provide crucial inpatient consultation services within the hospital setting.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Clinical Genetics & Genomics (ABMGG).
  • Possession of an unrestricted PA medical license at the time of employment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DEA certification specific to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a hospital setting with a high acuity level NICU or PICU.
  • Previous involvement in genomics research or clinical trials.
