Clinical Caseworker

APN Staffing is now hiring for a Clinical Caseworker position in Cranston, Rhode Island. This is a long-term, one year contract, position (with the possibility for extension). This is NOT a permanent position with the State of Rhode Island, it is contract only. Hours for this position are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday, about 35 hours per week. The hourly rate of pay during this contract is $45.00 an hour.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- An Initial Assessment that assesses the client’s functional limitations, resource availability, and identified community supports to determine the case management interventions
- Provide counseling services as needed
- Provide referrals for any services determined to be of need
- Provide clinical supports in assisting client and family, when appropriate, with personal or environmental difficulties which are centered around the illness, or which interfere with obtaining maximum benefits from medical and psychiatric care
- Provide updated reports to the legal department as needed
- Complete regular contact notes for patient record
- Complete appropriate discharge plan when client has terminated forensic involvement
- Enhance continuity of care, facilitate adjustment to the community and to ensure that necessary community services are provided
- Advocate for least restrictive environment to receive identified service needs
- Reviews all cases with case manager and supervisors to assure quality care is being
- Assists with program policy, development and management of the program
REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed or eligible for LCSW, LICSW, LMHC
- Master degree in social work or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience required
- Previous experience in mental health services and/or forensic population
- Desired: CDP, QMHP
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
