McCall and Lee has been engaged by a community based hospital to recruit a Clinic Supervisor to join their Emergency Department team. We are seeking a well skilled, highly productive team player to work with their program.
Certified as a Registered Nurse / RN in the state of Illinois
Emergency Department/Emergency Room Experience
A clinical supervisor oversees the work of less experienced clinical staff members, mentors them and helps them hone their skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Clinical Supervisor
Looks for ways to streamline and enhance administrative operations.
Counsels and trains newly hired clinical staff.
Consults with and supports clinical staff in the efforts to serve patients.
Helps improve communication among employees in a clinical environment.
Increases worker retention rates.
Helps plan budgets and establish fees for services.
Authorizes certain expenditures.
Coordinates certain financial reports.
Assists in the planning and promoting of health programs for the community.
Develops and implements some of the policies and procedures for the medical facility.
Recruits, hires and trains clinical staff.
Evaluates the job performances of clinical personnel.
Schedules clinical staff according to workloads and available equipment and space.
Stays up-to-date on a plethora of factors that affect the performance of a healthcare facility including advancements in diagnostic equipment, newly approved medications, upgraded computer technology, new and amended government regulations and changes in health insurance products.
Identifies quality assurance and risk management issues and brings them to the attention of the appropriate managers.
Ensures that all clinical staff is accurately notating patients’ electronic health records.
