Our client is a 300 all-private bed, not for profit hospital in the southern Ozark Mountains near the northern state border with Missouri.
They have an immediate opening for a Coding and Reimbursement leader to help take their Clinic financials to the next level of efficiency and competence.
To facilitate improvement in the overall quality, completeness and accuracy of medical record documentation by auditing clinical documentation and providing training to providers, nurses and other ancillary staff. Serve as a cross-functional liaison between coders and clinics to maximize billable charges and assure adherence to coding and documentation principles/guidelines.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications:
- Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) certification through AAPC. Also required, Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification through AAPC or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based (CCS-P) certification through AHIMA.
Other:
- Word Processing/Typing, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Spreadsheet and Presentation/PowerPoint.
Preferred Education:
- Associates Degree.
