A boutique investment management and advisory firm in West LA, providing services for wealthy families, individuals and organizations, is looking to fill a Client Service Associate position. This position will be working market hours starting around 6:30 or & 7 AM. Investment/Finance Operations experience as well as knowledge of the markets required.

Experience / Education Requirements:

  • Two to five years’ experience in a similar role with an investment management firm and/or broker-dealer. Prefer someone with finance background and they will train.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the financial services industry. NASD Series 7 or 11 license preferred but not required
  • Strong technical skills using the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities:
The Client Service Associate is responsible for the coordination of account, investment and service related tasks for the assigned advisory team(s). The CSA acts as a liaison on behalf of the advisory team and their clients to coordinate and complete tasks with other departments including; Operations, Portfolio Administration, Portfolio Implementation and the Fixed Income Group. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates the implementation of the service and operational functions of the Advisory Team necessary to ensure proper servicing of clients and the timely/accurate execution of investments.
  • Acts as a liaison between the advisory team and clients/internal departments to provide day to day support in responding to advisor and client inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate completion of operational/product activities.
  • Coordinates the new client process including: participating in meeting preparation, collection of client background information, providing and obtaining required account and investment strategy documentation, and operational coordination of account establishment and transfers.
  • Coordinates the asset allocation & reallocation process including, addressing necessary paperwork including subscription documents for alternative investments, account establishment, and investment implementation and/or changes with applicable department(s).
  • Provides customer service to clients by providing information, responding to inquiries, conducting research and submitting and ensuring the completion of service requests.
  • Maintains proficiency in all investment strategies, services, policies and procedures to effectively respond to inquiries and complete service requests. Solve problems through a strong understanding of operational and firm processes.
  • Performs other necessary duties and participates in Firm projects as assigned.
