Client Implementation Director

The Opportunity

The Client Implementation Director Leader is accountable for providing strategic direction and project management for all implementations and annual open enrollment processes. This position is crucial as a subject matter expert towards client satisfaction and relationship, and spans across clients with various degrees of size and complexity. We are looking for a Client Implementation Director who will bring experience and understanding of:

  • HR and Employee Benefit Plans and Programs
  • Benefits Administration Systems
  • HRIS and Payroll Systems

As well as the respective vendors in the industry to develop and execute processes, as well as best-in-class service to our clients.

The Client Implementation Director supports our clients by working closely with our internal team and vendors to implement programs and/or updated client systems for the annual enrollment process. Must be able to build client relationships enterprise-wise at executive levels, lead effective project strategies, and ensure that client app projects are executed within timelines.

The Optimatum Team is looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to deliver our services including:

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client partnerships to exceed client satisfaction throughout implementation
  • Guide client implementation meetings and strategy sessions
  • Coordinate with internal teams, HR Business Partners, Vendors and Advisors to:
    • outline goals, expectations, and timeline
    • verify plan designs, account structure and eligibility data
    • ensure file layouts and frequency with client eligibility file vendors
  • Set and maintain implementation phased goals and timeline
  • Continuous mindset toward efficiency and process improvement, applying technology and processes to improve delivery and efficiency from both the client and vendor perspective
  • Create and maintain client implementation tasks for each client
  • Confirm that the testing of all new files and updates are completed, and issues are resolved
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Impeccable organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of HR and Employee Benefit Plans and Programs, Benefits Administration Systems, HRIS and Payroll Systems
  • Excellent customer focus/service orientation
  • Confidence to lead teams and client virtual meetings
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability communicate effectively with internal operational resources, executive management as well as external client executive teams
  • Understand sense of urgency in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to be flexible and change with environment, industry, and business demands
  • Proven ability to establish a project plan and able to manage to it in order to meet deadlines
  • Be helpful/supportive/collaborative
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Problem-solving mindset

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ten plus years of experience in human resources, benefits administration, or a related field
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Interest in vendor management, HR and healthcare and retirement issues a must
  • Prior external consulting experience
  • Strong ability to manage and analyze data, think strategically, present effectively
  • Skilled in using common project management methodology
  • Understanding of financial and healthcare issues and operations a plus

* The expected base annual salary ranges from $135,000 - $190,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, training, experience, education, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
