As the Mortgage Claims Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all investor/client guidelines are meticulously followed, and that investor claims and loss analysis are completed efficiently and accurately. In this role, you will oversee the entire claims process, leading a team of professionals dedicated to these tasks. Your leadership and expertise in investor claims, loss analysis, and operational excellence will be key to driving the success of our claims department.

This is a Hybrid role located in Plano, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Claims Processors. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the department. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and knowledge. Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Oversee quality control to ensure accuracy.
  • Organize workflow to ensure maximum utilization of team while ensuring appropriate coverage for all clients and processes.
  • Schedule and facilitate team and client meetings, ensuring all parties are well-informed and prepared.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address complex issues.
  • Maintains appropriate reporting materials for Sr. Management on projected timelines and adherence to those timelines. Also maintains reporting on production goal tracking and informs Sr. Management if monthly goals are at risk and why.
  • Maintains consistent attendance to ensure fulfillment of essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications: Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or ten (10) years’ experience in a relevant field.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in claims and loss analysis.
  • Title insurance, lien clearance, and other title-related concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate with external partners.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to real estate transactions.
  • Proficiency in claims and loss analysis software and technology tools.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Ability to make decisions that have significant impact on the department’s credibility, operations, and services.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on a long-term basis.
  • Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and/or to develop forecasts and computer models.
  • Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, and publications of limited scope or impact, and/or to make presentations outside the immediate work area.
