Civil Project Engineer

Based in Franklin, Tennessee, the Civil Project Engineer is responsible for all aspects of engineering related to designing perimeter security systems and access control points. This responsibility requires supporting a multidiscipline team of engineers and CAD personnel. The Civil Project Engineer will report to the Director of Operations.


Duties:
• Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
• Work closely with the Project Managers to coordinate engineering activity and ensure all deliverables are met according to schedule
• Work closely with the Project Managers and clients to ensure all deliverables defined in the scope of work are met according to specifications
• Create and organize work plans and construction documents including specifications when required by contract
Design & develop site specific layouts of equipment meeting applicable standards and contractual requirements
• Assist in the development & Ensure that all drawings, bills of material, analyses, and work plans are correct
• Facilitate quality assessment activities of engineering drawings
• Understand and apply applicable standards during project work including UFGS, SDD, SDDCTEA, DOT, and MUTCD
• Provide support as directed by the Engineering Team Leader
• Assist Sales Account Managers with the development of proposals and serve as a technical resource
• Support Field Service Engineers and the maintenance department with technical assistance

Qualifications (preferred):
• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Previous experience as a project engineer or project manager
• Professional Engineering License
• Experience with USACE projects
• Experience with construction projects & Design/Build contracts
• Previous field experience in construction industry & willingness to travel on occasion

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a computer workstation for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs comfortably
