Focus:

  • Lead the execution of civil engineering projects, including but not limited to residential and commercial land development.
  • Prepare and evaluate civil engineering design plans, specifications, and calculations for grading, stormwater management, sanitary systems, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure projects meet all relevant codes and standards, while adhering to the specified scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring quality control and fostering professional growth.
  • Develop and manage client relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, contractors, and external stakeholders, to achieve project objectives.
  • Lead the preparation and review of technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with project safety protocols, environmental regulations, and other legal requirements.

Skill Set:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program (EAC/ABET, CEAB).
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil Engineering.
  • 8-12 years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including sanitary and improvement districts (S&ID), public improvement plan layouts, and subdivision development procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge in regional design standards, local public agency procedures, and financing mechanisms pertinent to public and private developments.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including mentoring and performance management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects, including coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
