Civil Design Engineer

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage civil design projects from concept through completion—partnering with cross-functional teams and mentoring engineers, designers, and interns.

  • Deliver engineered solutions for municipal, industrial and private sitework: water, sewer, drainage, grading and utilities using AutoCAD / Civil 3D.

  • Monitor project budgets and schedules, prepare proposals, contract amendments and technical reports—serving as the client advocate and ensuring satisfaction end-to-end.

  • Provide team leadership: review designs, coordinate resources, offer technical feedback and oversee deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor in the field: review site work, mentor junior staff and help solve real-time construction, permitting or design issues.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and 3-6 years of relevant full-time experience.

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain) with solid civil design background.

  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD and other standard civil design tools; strong understanding of grading, utilities, drainage and permitting.

  • Strong business acumen—comfortable managing client relationships, design schedules, budgets and project scopes.

  • Leadership mindset—ready to mentor and guide others while also rolling up your sleeves and executing.

  • Technical depth and creative mindset—able to interpret maps, surveys, topography, soils and translate into sound design solutions.
