POSITION: Chief Revenue Officer / Vice President of Sales (title depends upon experience)

LOCATION: Position can be located anywhere on the East Coast or Chicago. Everyone is working remotely at this time. The majority of team is located on the East Coast.

COMPANY: This is one of the newest and coolest SaaS products in the Fintech market. The parent company spun out this technology into a new entity. They started building this technology for themselves when they realized there wasn’t enough technology in the space for alternative lenders to properly conduct business. Then they decided to license it and monetize it. They have their own development team and will continue to develop new products that can be sold to existing customers.

CULTURE: This is a fast paced, high growth, NYC-based startup. Everyone works remote. They have employees all over the world. The employees love their jobs and collaborating with each other. People wear many different hats and pitch in to support each other. This is a collaborative, high energy, high pressure environment. Need someone who is good under pressure. Need someone who is articulate, personable, good at communicating directly and enjoys being a team player. Must be friendly, outgoing, personable and comfortable approaching new people at conferences. Need someone that is very self-motivated, driven, energetic, resourceful, intelligent, humble, and has a great sense of humor.

COMPENSATION: Realistically, the first-year compensation is expected to be around $400k+ OTE. However, the sky is the limit! There will be no cap on commissions and accelerators. Second year comp should be significantly more as the product gets traction and 7 additional products are being developed that you can sell to the same customers. CEO wants to hire someone who is VERY motivated and confident in their ability to be successful in this role. The CEO wants someone who is incentivized and committed to the company’s success. Compensation package will include base, bonus, and full benefits. There is no equity for this role. ALL CASH comp. CEO wants someone who is motivated to make a lot of money! Client would like to know what you want to make and what is important to you.

MANAGEMENT STYLE: This is a management position reporting to the Founder/CEO. He lets people take the reins on a lot of things, then get together a couple times a week to pow wow. He is a very open, personable and smart guy. He knows this industry better than most. People love working for him. They don’t want to leave. He is all about growth and the next new thing. He prefers to collaborate with someone, then let them get it done. Need someone who is good at communicating directly and efficiently. Doesn’t want any surprises. Need to be proactive about keeping him informed and someone who knows when to ask for help.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have recent and significant experience in a sales leadership role with quota responsibility at a company with significant MRR growth generated through selling SaaS products to fintech, SMB and enterprise companies. The new CRO will be directly responsible for revenue growth of the company.

  • The new CRO must be able to create and execute the playbook. This is an execution play. It is not a proof of concept. The product is terrific, and the company is already making money! They already have over a dozen reference-able customers and did ~1m ARR last year. Now that the foundation has been laid, need an ambitious leader who is ready to scale aggressively!

  • Must be someone who enjoys the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a small company but has been through the experience of scaling up an organization/territory to significant revenues. Ideal candidates will have gone through the high growth and scalability issues of a startup or high growth stage company. Experience working in a dynamic environment is mandatory as well as experience growing a company, business unit, vertical, and/or territory from nominal revenues to phenomenal revenues at least once in your career.

  • This is a management position reporting to the Founder/CEO. Initially, you will be carrying a bag and CLOSING deals while building out your team as you hit your numbers. The new CRO will be directly responsible for revenue growth of the company. Will be responsible for direct sales, customer success, and marketing. Will inherit a small team. Need someone who can ensure that the team has the best possible talent (A players) at each level. Structure comp & incentive plans. Coach and keep top talent and remove non-performers efficiently. Need someone that can be very hands-on, roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to achieve goals while building and managing the team. Must lead by example. Need someone that is very self-motivated, hungry, humble and has a great sense of humor.
