- Build the Organizational Engine
- Design and roll out a resilient organizational structure, including a General Manager (GM) model across markets.
- Create SOPs, job descriptions, and training programs to standardize operations and reduce single-person dependency.
- Establish clear performance management systems that foster accountability, transparency, and leadership development.
- Build and nurture a strong, values-driven culture that attracts and retains top talent.
- Drive Operational Excellence
- Oversee Clinical Services, Sales, Market Operations (including P&Ls), Compliance, HR, Revenue Cycle, and IT to ensure alignment and efficiency across functions.
- Optimize systems and workflows to deliver margin-conscious growth.
- Introduce KPIs and reporting mechanisms that drive decision-making and accountability.
- Step into GM roles temporarily, if necessary, to maintain seamless operations.
- Scale New Market Growth & Joint Ventures
- Create and refine a playbook for new joint venture implementations (hiring, training, tech stack, and data systems).
- Project manage JV implementations with health system stakeholders.
- Oversee integration of new markets, including potential M&A activity.
- Lead Customer & Partner Success
- Define and implement a customer success framework to ensure health system partners see measurable results.
- Serve as the ultimate executive sponsor for key health system relationships.
- Engage directly with boards, investors, and regulators as needed to support company credibility and growth.
- Leverage Technology for Scale
- Evaluate and upgrade the technology stack to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop scalable, repeatable playbooks to support rapid expansion across markets.
- Partner with the CEO
- Serve as the operational counterpart to the CEO, driving execution while enabling the CEO to focus on fundraising and strategic growth.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, Sales, and Compliance leadership to align resources with company priorities.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Strategic Operator: A first-principles thinker who can simplify complexity and scale solutions.
- Builder Mentality: Hands-on, pragmatic, and energized by creating systems and processes from scratch.
- Proven Leader: Experienced in multi-market or multi-team management; background in healthcare or management consulting strongly preferred.
- Customer-Centric: Skilled at managing external stakeholders, from health system executives to boards.
- Data & Process Obsessed: Adept at building KPIs, dashboards, and decision-making systems.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable evaluating and leveraging technology to scale operations.
- Industry Knowledge: Hospice/healthcare experience is a plus, but not a requirement; ability to learn quickly is essential.
