Position Responsibilities:
Responsible to direct the overall operations and administration of our client’s stations and P/L. Direct reports include the VP of Operations, 4 Regional VPs, Truck Brokerage, Director of Procurement, and 3 Country Managers. The successful individual will have the ability to develop and promote a clear understanding of the company’s core values and culture and to lead change management initiatives. The goal of the COO role is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth and drive compliance to achieve operational excellence.

Background Required:
  • Senior Management role within the domestic transportation sector (10 years)
  • P & L ownership (budgeting, forecasting & reporting)
  • Multimodal (domestic air & ground transportation, time definite, expedite, truck brokerage, home delivery, international air & ocean)
  • Operations management
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Knowledge of US regional markets
  • Change Management
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology-operating tools (visibility tools, TMS, WMS)
  • Established and managed to real time data driven strategy via KPI’s & metrics
  • Business plan preparation and implementation
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Education: BA or BS Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Residence: North East (will relocate)
