Summary

As a key and vital member of our Executive Leadership team, our COO/ChiefOperations Officer, serves as an integral point of The company's ongoing business operations, reporting to and working closely with the CEO as well as other executive management team members.
This position provides leadership, management, and vision while ensuring effective and efficient operational and financial procedures are in place. The individual in this role must maintain diverse business operations on both corporate and franchise operations and secure the functionality of the business to drive extensive and sustainable growth; the COO must be a skilled communicator, effective leader, and driven business person who can spur company growth, maintain key operation procedures, create new processes and ensure day-to-day operational excellence at both the corporate and franchise level.
The COO is expected to accomplish this through a respectful, constructive, and energetic style, guided by the objectives, Mission, Vision, and Core Values of The company.
The COO will provide leadership, accountability, integrity, transparency, strategic and meaningful analyses for our business; and effectively communicate and foster growth among the executive team and all employees.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures. Set comprehensive yet challenging goals for performance, growth, and profitability.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management that mirrors our mission, vision, core values, and overall business plan/strategy.
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate, and complete reports on The company's operational conditions.
  • Drive company results from both operational and financial perspectives working closely with the CEO and other key management team members.
  • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives from Marketing, Operations, and both franchise and corporate stores and provide leadership guidance to headquarters.
  • Encourage, motivate, and lead high-performance management team; attract, recruit, and retain required members of the executive team not currently in place; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. Responsible for creating effective measurement tools to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external processes.
  • Work closely with department heads to develop and implement plans for the operational processes, internal infrastructure, company policies, and reporting systems designed to accommodate The company's rapid growth objectives and efficiency. Oversees Franchise and Corporate Operations, Learning and Development, and Human Resources.
  • Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Maintain a successful relationship with our franchisee community, from items such as but not limited to; standards assessment, service reviews, upholding the company brand, and providing operational and financial guidance, as needed.
  • Establish efficient workflows and business processes to meet the needs of business operations of multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist CEO in fundraising ventures, raising additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable the company to meet sales, growth, and market share objectives. Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, franchisee meetings, etc.)
  • Represent the company and manage relationships with franchise partners. Act as lead "client-care officer" through direct contact with every partner, potential client, and team member.
  • Foster a growth-oriented, positive, and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies and procedures, and guidelines.
  • Complete other responsibilities and projects as assigned and/or as needed.
Required Competencies
  • Proven experience as COO or relevant role. At least eight plus years of operational experience, at least five years in an executive leader management role. Proven experience with franchise sales and fast-paced expansion growth plans.
  • Understanding franchised and/or multi-unit restaurants or hospitality is a must. Experience in fundraising is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing human resources, information technology, legal, and marketing.
  • Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.
  • Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues.
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team. Strong collaboration and communication skills; strategic thinking; results-driven; business acumen; and financial management. Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operations metrics.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours as necessary
Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, master's degree preferred
  • +5 years of executive level operational experience required; COO level experience preferred.
  • Be able to write and speak English
Travel Requirements
  • Travel will be primary for this role, up to 50% or more, with sometimes long-extended overnight stays at various locations within the US and Canada, as needed.
