The RMH Group is looking for a chief mechanical engineer who will be responsible for providing technical guidance and mentorship to the mechanical team. We are looking for a seasoned HVAC design expert to impart his/her knowledge on the firm’s 35+ mechanical engineering staff and make a lasting impact on the next generation of engineers and companywide projects.
In this key role, the mechanical engineer will be responsible for technical guidance and mentorship to mechanical engineering staff, providing QA/QC on mechanical projects, leading trainings, setting CAD and BIM standards companywide, providing guidance and insight for highly technical and complex projects, keeping all staff up to date on new technologies, and serving as the go-to technical mechanical expert for the firm.
This position will join a team of focused experts who tackle the industry’s most complex challenges. From high or low-density data centers, to central plants, to healthcare, to zero carbon/sustainability and industrial clients, when highly reliable mechanical systems are needed clients turn to the RMH Group. The team supported groundbreaking systems that clean and test critical next generation space flight hardware for the Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corporation, including innovative air diffusion and cleanroom technology. The RMH team worked on a sprawling 320-acre park that won the ENR Mountain States best project award and included indoor event space, indoor fields, and an indoor aquatics center. When upgrades were needed in a historic and architecturally significant theological seminary in Denver, the team custom designed HVAC systems to fit structural load and space limitations, including maintaining temperature and humidity conditions for its historic books.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $175,000 /year – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set and location.

Requirements:
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• 15+ years of experience
• Strong technical command of mechanical design projects.
• Experience working on highly technical and complex projects such as healthcare facilities, data centers, universities, science & technology buildings, aerospace facilities, labs, and/or industrial buildings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and train mechanical engineers and work well with clients.
