Position: Chief Marketing Officer

Target Compensation: $1M – 2M comp plan including base, bonus & equity, and also a comprehensive executive benefits program.
Position Summary
Our client is seeking an accomplished Chief Marketing Officer to lead its global marketing organization during one of the most exciting periods in its history. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the CMO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and play a central role in shaping the company’s long-term growth strategy, market positioning, product narrative, and customer engagement. This role combines the responsibilities of a traditional Chief Marketing Officer with the strategic influence of a world-class SVP of Product Marketing. The successful executive will partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Finance, and the Board to ensure that the company’s innovation is translated into compelling market strategies that accelerate growth, strengthen competitive differentiation, and create long-term enterprise value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership across the company's global marketing organization, including Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Demand Generation, Digital Marketing, Brand Strategy, Communications, Customer Marketing, Partner Marketing, Events, Marketing Operations, Analyst Relations, Public Relations, and Sales Enablement.

  • Work closely with senior leadership and the executive leadership team, this executive will define the company’s long-term marketing vision while ensuring that every aspect of the marketing organization supports the company’s broader corporate strategy.

  • Strengthen market positioning, refining messaging, evolving pricing and packaging strategy, supporting product launches, driving pipeline growth, enhancing partner engagement, integrating future acquisitions, and helping shape the company’s overall strategic direction.

Position Requirements
  • Must be proven record of executive marketing leadership within enterprise software, SaaS, cloud communications, collaboration, cybersecurity, infrastructure software, or a similarly complex B2B technology environment.

  • Experience leading sophisticated Product Marketing organizations is essential, along with demonstrated success developing company positioning, launching innovative products, strengthening brands, and partnering closely with Product Management and Sales.

  • Proven executive marketing leadership in complex B2B technology environments, ideally within enterprise software, SaaS, cloud communications, collaboration, cybersecurity, infrastructure software, or a similarly sophisticated technology business.

  • Deep Product Marketing leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, shape company positioning, translate product innovation into compelling market narratives, and partner effectively with Product Management, Sales, Engineering, and Customer Success.

  • Demonstrated success driving go-to-market impact and brand elevation, including launching innovative products, strengthening competitive differentiation, improving market visibility, supporting revenue growth, and engaging credibly with analysts, partners, customers, executives, and Board members.

  • Executive presence and cross-functional leadership credibility, with the ability to earn trust across the CEO, Board, Product, Sales, Engineering, and Marketing organizations; build and develop high-performing teams; foster a collaborative, accountable culture; and contribute thoughtfully to enterprise-level strategic decisions.
