Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO for a regional transportation provider.

The Chief Information Officer establishes the enterprise-wide IT strategy and its alignment with the organization’s strategies. Collaborates with business leadership teams as a strategic partner to provide in-depth technical expertise in support of business decisions. Drive implementation of best practices for optimizing infrastructure and operation costs and improving system performance. Collaborates and partners with stakeholders across conveying technically complex information and concepts in easily understood terms. Develops and operationalizes the information technology strategy. Recommends short- and long-term IT goals and objectives to business leaders. Coaches, mentors, empowers, and develops a team of IT professionals, leading them to meet or exceed expectations for productivity, quality, and achievement. Creates a workplace culture that emphasizes the corporate mission, vision, guiding principles, and values. Drives transformational change and innovation while balancing business, infrastructure, and technology needs. Ensures key business strategies and processes are supported by technological systems that enable growth and flexibility. Provides leadership and guidance to IT departments to achieve secure, reliable, and cost-effective operations of IT infrastructure and applications. Seeks and evaluates emerging technologies and educates business stakeholders on the potential for new technologies to deliver return on investment by enabling business innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage. Oversee and manage capital projects to ensure target dates and budget expectations are met. Ensures service-level requirements are met while upholding all governance standards. Demonstrate a management style that encourages mentorship, teamwork, participation, communication, and service orientation.

  • Information Technology Senior Leadership (10 years)
  • Transportation & logistics industry
  • Information security & risk management guidelines-best practices.
  • Project Management; implementation, organization, forming, oversight & management
  • Budget development and implementation
  • Long-term IT planning and strategy
  • Corporate policies & standards to maximize effectiveness & minimize IT costs
  • Data center operations
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Information Systems)
