Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the transformation of our financial and purchasing operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for developing robust financial strategies, implementing best practices, and building efficient processes to support organizational growth. This includes redesigning the financial and purchasing departments, creating a closed-loop purchasing system with detailed cost accounting with cross-checks and sign-offs, and driving accountability, innovation, and efficiency across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Redesign financial and purchasing processes to enhance operational efficiency and establish robust controls.
  • Implement modern financial tools and systems to improve data management, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to align financial strategies with business goals.

Budgeting, Analysis & Reporting

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts to monitor performance and guide strategic decisions.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Present financial insights and updates to executives and stakeholders.

Cost Management & Operational Efficiency

  • Develop detailed cost accounting by equipment, pit, site, and plants to optimize resource allocation.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline financial and purchasing processes.

Purchasing & Oversight

  • Build a closed-loop purchasing process, including robust cross-checks and sign-offs for transparency and accountability.
  • Oversee purchasing department operations to ensure alignment with financial goals and efficiency standards.
  • Develop capital expenditure approval process and tracking system for accountability

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.
  • Develop risk management strategies to address financial and operational risks.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the finance and purchasing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics for both departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred).
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Expertise in financial regulations, reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and implement process improvements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
