This pivotal role entails the oversight of all accounting aspects, from managing billing systems and financial reporting to adhering strictly to legal and ethical financial practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of financial and accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, payables, and general ledger.
- Meticulously prepare, review, and publish monthly financial statements along with comprehensive management reports.
- Lead the coordination efforts for regulatory reporting and ensure stringent compliance with standards and regulations at all levels.
- Enhance and formalize business processes and accounting policies to fortify the organization's internal controls.
- Facilitate and refine month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy in reporting.
- Fulfill all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings diligently.
- Identify and drive process enhancements, while deploying financial management best practices to optimize operations.
- Liaise with external auditors to govern the audit processes effectively; addressing all queries to ensure seamless audits.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of substantial experience in accounting and financial management roles.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of GAAP and other essential financial principles.
- Proficiency in mainstream accounting software plus the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities with a sharp focus on details and precision in work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience of 10 or more years, specifically in a senior management role within finance.
