Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President / CEO of an asset-based transportation company specializing in Heavy Haul, Specialized OTR, General Oilfield Trucking, Rig Moves, Crane and Forklift Services. With $50 million dollars in revenue the company has 40 trucks, 10 cranes and a vast array of specialty trailer configurations and specialized forklift equipment.
The Chief Financial Officer, as a member of the senior executive team, is responsible for managing the accounting, finance, technology, and analysis functions through the direction of a staff of 4 associates. Develops and maintains processes and methods to plan, evaluate and control the financial, operations and capital resources to ensure optimal performance of funds, security of business unit assets and measuring and reporting of the results of the business unit financial, fleet and operation’s performance. Develops and maintains internal control structure for information integrity for receivables, payables, revenues, inventory, assets, and financial reporting. Challenge is to coordinate the financial direction of the company to increase revenues, optimize costs, maximize profitability, and increase return on investment.

- Financial Leadership – CFO / Controller – Crane & Rigging / Heavy Transportation Environment (10 yrs.)
- Strategic business planning & budget process (short & long term)
- Cash flow forecasting
- Capital structure budgeting & monitoring existing capital investments.
- P&L & balance sheet ($50 million + revenue)
- Risk management and analysis
- Staff hiring, training & mentorship.
- Accounting & financial software familiarity
- Computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Education: BS or BA in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Location: Midland / Odessa, TX region (relocation assistance)
- Specialized transportation: (i.e., crane & rigging, over dimensional, heavy haul, flat bed)
- Mergers & acquisitions
- Private equity exposure
- Certifications: CPA or CFA
- Advanced Education: Master’s degree in Finance / Accounting or MBA
- Strong communicator (oral, written & presentation)
- High degree of integrity
- Excellent organizational skills
- Analytical with strategic focus
