Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO of one of the industry’s most trusted providers of hazardous bulk transportation.
The Chief Commercial Officer will lead the execution of an ongoing growth plan in the specialty chemical, pressurized gas, and dry bulk transportation market. They will accomplish this by their individual selling efforts to expand the company’s footprint while managing a team of 4 regional sales leaders in their respected divisions. Their primary goal will be to lead the organization in generating top line organic growth, drive the advancement of a world-class business development organization, align business development organization with product line/operations leadership, provide a robust, professional, and repeatable sales/business development process, and strategically drive results. These goals will be accomplished through utilizing the companies AOP (annual operations plan), define financial performance targets, access and implement scaled CRM system to manage their customer pipeline and relationships, and serve as a key C-level market relationship developer. Along with this they will be responsible to manage and develop the Regional Sales Managers in order to help both them and the company achieve their revenue goals in each division.

Background Required:
  • Business Development leadership in industrial/industrial service/complex transportation/logistics services (7-10 years)
  • Bulk specialty chemical & NGL relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to sell to multiple levels of decision makers (Executive, Middle and Line Mgmt)
  • Strategic/C-level business development experience (1-3 years)
  • Remote business development and acquisition
  • Track record of consistently achieving or beating sales quota
  • Management through metric utilization
  • Load pricing, bidding projects, and rate analysis
  • Implementation and use of a CRM tool (Mcleod, open to changing if there is a good option out there)
  • Time & Territory Management Reporting CRM (i.e.: Salesforce, ACT)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
  • Residence: Home Office, USA
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Education: College Graduate- BA or BS
