Chemist/Toxicologist - $74,500/annually
Phoenix, AZ

Temporary six-month contract to assist with method development, method optimization, and validation of analytical Toxicology methods. Standard and sample preparation using an automated liquid handler. Sample analysis on Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry/Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), Gas Chromatography - Triple Quadrupole (GC-QQQ), and Liquid Chromatography - High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (LC-HRMS). Data reprocess all data coming off of instrumentation. Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the methods being brought online. Write up validation plans, input data into excel, and write up validation reports.

  • Experience with Agilent Liquid Chromatography - Sciex Mass Spectrometry/Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), Thermo Gas Chromatography - Triple Quadrupole (GC-QQQ), and Thermo Liquid Chromatography - High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (LC-HRMS) analytical instrumentation.
  • Experience with SciexOS, Tracefinder, Xcalibur, FreeStyle, and Chromeleon software. Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in an analytical chemistry environment. Prior experience troubleshooting and operating analytical instrumentation (LC-MS/MS, GC-QQQ, LC-HRMS, etc.). Prior method development and method validation experience.
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, or Biology with at least 6 courses in Chemistry (General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry or Physical Chemistry).
