Our client, a Major Integrated Oil & Petrochemical Company, is seeking an accomplished chemical engineer to fulfill either of two key roles, Improve Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer, in its Specialty Polymers organization in Baton Rouge.

About the Job:
As part of either the Technology or Manufacturing organizations within the Global Specialty Polymers business, you will serve as a technical resource for the optimization and improvement of existing technology, technical troubleshooting, and manufacturing support. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the current state of process technology in the specialty polymers industry, and will create and disseminate new process technology and support the improvement of existing technology within the Company.

This engineer will also work in multi-disciplinary teams to solve problems and improve process performance at the Company's global network of specialty polymers plants, and will hold an influential role in driving improvement through technical contribution and innovation.

Background Requirements:
  • BS degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing technical support
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience in polymer manufacturing operations
  • Experience in development and implementation of small to medium size capital projects
