We are seeking a Chef Manager to elevate our client's dining and service standards. Under the supervision of the General Manager, this role demands a proactive management style, focusing on team training, culinary finesse, adherence to safety standards, and strengthening client relationships. The Chef Manager will be crucial in achieving budget targets and implementing company-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, overseeing all culinary operations.
  • Calculate food requirements and manage food orders and purchases.
  • Create and refine recipes, standardizing them to maintain uniform quality.
  • Set standards for dish presentation, design menus, and structure pricing.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment, uphold safety regulations, and ensure kitchen cleanliness.
  • Manage special catering events and potentially provide culinary education and demonstrations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role required.
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or comparable experience necessary.
  • Culinary degree is advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of food industry standards and practices.
  • Proven management experience and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

To qualify for this position, you must have:

  • Experience in K-12 food service.
  • Culinary or Associate's Degree.
  • Experience overseeing multiple locations.
