Certified Surgical Technician – Full-Time

Pay: $26.54–$39.82 per hour
Schedule: 32–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Position Overview

A respected community healthcare organization is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to join its collaborative Surgical Services team. This position plays an essential role in maintaining a sterile, safe, and efficient operating-room environment while supporting surgeons, circulating nurses, and other clinical professionals throughout surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures
• Establish and maintain the sterile field using proper aseptic technique
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the operating-room team
• Pass instruments and supplies accurately and efficiently during procedures
• Perform approved second-assist responsibilities as appropriate
• Help implement and revise patient care plans in collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff
• Support sterile processing and central-supply functions
• Follow established environmental safety, sanitation, and disinfection procedures
• Complete instrument, sponge, and supply counts according to facility policy
• Promote patient safety throughout the perioperative process
• Demonstrate excellent communication, customer-service, and interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Surgical Technology
• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technician program
• Current national Surgical Technologist certification
• Current Basic Life Support certification, or ability to obtain the required CPR/BLS certification within six months of hire
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and operating-room safety
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent patient care

Schedule

• Flexible full-time schedule of 32–40 hours per week
• Primarily Monday through Friday
• Rotating on-call coverage approximately every sixth weekend

Compensation

The anticipated pay range is $26.54–$39.82 per hour. The final offer will be based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, credentials, and other job-related considerations.
