The Caregiver shall be responsible for the provision of assistance to the residents of APH including, but not limited to, assisting with feeding, hydration, bathing, dressing, incontinence care, oral care, personal hygiene, infection control, positioning, transferring, ambulation, maintenance and cleanliness of personal areas, measuring of vitals to include oxygen saturation, pulse, blood pressure, temperature, respirations, height and weight under the direction and supervision of the unit nurse and in accordance with individualized service plan.

Skills Required: Certified Caregiver Certificate approved by the Nursing Care Institution Administrators 1. Safe transfer techniques. 2. Ability to safely provide assistance in the activities of daily living including but not limited to dressing, bathing, toileting, oral and personal care and feeding. 3. Application of prostheses, anti-embolism stockings, oxygen delivery systems, and other ordered medical devices. 4. Indwelling urinary catheter care. 5. Skin care in relation to incontinence, bed-bound residents, and others. 5. Application of infection control and standard precautions to include proper hand washing. 6. Measuring of vitals. 7. Appropriate bed making. 8. Written, oral and visual communications

Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or greater. -Certified Caregiver Certificate -Must have a valid, current Food Handler's Card, and CPR and First Aid Training. -Staff hired as a caregiver have no more than 6 months to become a certified caregiver. -A valid level 1 fingerprint clearance by Arizona Department of Public Safety -Provide documentation of freedom from active pulmonary tuberculosis, within the last 12 months
