Our client is a vibrant community hospital on the Western Slope of Colorado. They are seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a BRAND NEW Cath Lab!

The Cath Lab is slated to open this spring and will contain 9 rooms in a state of the art facility on campus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pre/intra/post procedure nursing care (assessment, monitoring, intervention and education) related to diagnostic and therapeutic adult cardiac catheterization procedures including (but not limited to) angioplasty, coronary stents, , Swan Ganz/right heart catheterization, and pericardiocentesis.
• Assess the patient upon admission to the cardiac cath lab department, ensuring all labs orders and results are in patient chart, H & P within 30 days of procedure, contrast allergy noted, consents are present and familiarize self with patient chart.
• Administer intravenous and oral medications to patients per physician order and according to policy and procedure.
• Demonstrate knowledge in the following: angioplasty, coronary stents, Swan Ganz/right heart cath, pericardiocentesis, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and recognition of cardiac rhythms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (or its equivalent).
• At least two (2) years of cardiac catheterization experience required.
• Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS
• Current ALS
• RCIS preferred, or obtained within 1 year
