We are supporting a leading lubricant manufacturer in the search for a Global Category Manager – Additives—a position that goes beyond traditional procurement and sits firmly at the intersection of commercial strategy, supplier engagement, and technical collaboration.

The Role
You will take ownership of the global additives category, driving strategy and delivering value across a complex, international supply base.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing global category strategies aligned with business goals
- Building and managing strategic relationships with key additive suppliers worldwide
- Leading high-value commercial negotiations and contract agreements
- Identifying and delivering measurable cost savings and efficiencies
- Working closely with R&D, supply chain, sales, and procurement teams globally (USA, Asia, Europe)
- Monitoring market trends, pricing dynamics, and emerging technologies
- Mitigating supply chain risks and ensuring continuity
- Driving performance through KPIs and supplier evaluation
- Supporting sustainability and compliance initiatives
About You
This role will suit someone with a strong commercial foundation and an established presence in the additives or wider lubricants space.
We are particularly interested in individuals who:
- Bring experience from a commercial, sales, or key account management background (with exposure to procurement or supply chain)
- Have a strong network within the lubricant additives market
- Can demonstrate successful negotiation and tangible cost-saving achievements
- Are confident working across global, cross-functional teams
- Possess excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Are comfortable operating in a dynamic, international environment
A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field is expected. English is essential; additional languages are advantageous.
Location & Package
- Based in Turin, Italy (ideally within close proximity to the plant)
- Relocation support including up to 3 years’ accommodation assistance and associated moving costs
- Approximately 25% international travel
