Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Carrier Sales Manager of a premier asset-based logistics provider specializing in flatbed, LTL, and intermodal along with a full-service freight brokerage.

The Carrier Sales Representative will be responsible for ensuring carrier coverage and successful pick up for truckload freight. To create and maintain relationships with carriers across the US to support true partnerships with trusted carriers. This critical role will drive the overall success of our operations team and allow you to strengthen your skills within the transportation industry. Challenge is to successfully grow new and existing customer accounts by providing required carrier capacity and superior service and ensuring best practices are being utilized by all team members, while increasing revenues and margins.

Background Required:
  • Carrier Sales within Freight Brokerage or Transportation Management (2+ years)
  • Modes of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, Dry Van, Reefer, LTL, Intermodal, Drayage)
  • Negotiations (Carrier, Customer)
  • KPI Management
  • Metrics measurements (i.e. pricing, delivery, costs, quality, audits)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Residence: Tampa, FL or Chicago, IL
