Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Business Development for a leading provider of Contractual Transportation Management, Freight Brokerage and Optimization for mid-sized North American companies.
The Carrier Sales Representative will be responsible for ensuring carrier coverage and successful pick up for truckload freight. To create and maintain relationships with carriers across the US to support true partnerships with trusted carriers. This critical role will drive the overall success of our operations team and allow you to strengthen your skills within the transportation industry. Challenge is to successfully grow new and existing customer accounts by providing required carrier capacity and superior service and ensuring best practices are being utilized by all team members, while increasing revenues and margins.

Background Required:
  • Carrier Sales in asset environment (2+ years)
  • Strong Negotiation Ability
  • Create a carrier following utilizing historical data and carrier management techniques.
  • Carrier Procurement KPI’s (i.e. load count, revenue, margin, load count, call logs)
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Greater Akron area
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Truckload
  • Education: College Graduate - BA or BS
