Capital Equipment Project Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of multiple capital equipment projects, ensuring they adhere to predefined budgets and timelines.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, assess feasibility, and allocate necessary resources.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and contractors to meet project objectives and deliver on time.
  • Lead the process validation ensuring projects comply with quality standards and are completed timely.
  • Seamlessly transition finished projects to operational teams with comprehensive documentation and training.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to manage expectations and keep them updated on project progress.
  • Handle customer inquiries and issues promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction remains high.
  • Drive internal stakeholder engagements to gather critical information and facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Develop and optimize production line layouts and modifications to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
  • Create and collaborate on process flow diagrams alongside the process engineering team.
  • Maintain compliance with HAZMAT requirements and other relevant regulations.
  • Establish and uphold equipment standards to ensure consistency and reliability across projects.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures within capital projects.
  • Provide broad support for capital projects at various developmental stages across three facilities.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in project management within a process-oriented manufacturing environment like chemicals, food, or beverages.
  • Proven track record of managing capital equipment projects, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Experience in multitasking across multiple-discipline projects including mechanical, electrical, and civil.
  • Familiarity with engineering blueprints and relevant codes (NFPA, ASME, etc.).
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Gantt charts for project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification.
  • Experience in consumer products manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of APQP and/or validation processes.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI.
