Capital Administrator

Overall responsibility for the administration of the capital project process, supporting Manufacturing Operations Capital functions for all manufacturing plants. This position will report directly to the Controller while providing support to the Director of Engineering and other functional leaders. This position will also provide business and analytical support to the Finance function, including but not limited to, development and implementation of process improvements, modeling & reporting, and ad-hoc financial analysis.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Preparation and monitoring of Requests for Capital, PO issuance (commitments), Capital spend (actual, projected and carryover), and invoice management
  • Assist with project management including, detail project plan development, progress reporting, deadline management, budget monitoring, and post project audits
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close by preparing journal entries and reconciliations for prepaid expenses and fixed assets
  • Partner with both the Engineering and Finance teams to create meaningful reporting and provide Capital Project updates and analytics
  • Manage and reconcile CIP account, update and maintain the fixed asset software, and provided related reporting in a timely manner
  • Ensure that proper controls and procedures are in place and maintained, for adequate spending oversight, and capital asset protection
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure that all internal and external reporting deadlines are successfully met
  • Provide tracking for regulatory compliance, notifications, and documentation
  • Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and enhance business performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Related work experience in manufacturing, construction, or other project focused environment is preferable
  • Must have strong MS Excel skills
  • Experience with asset management software, and Microsoft Project is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with high energy level, self-confidence and maturity to work with senior leadership
  • Ability to partner across different functional areas (e.g., engineering, supply chain, operational excellence, etc.)
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging growth environment, while adhering to guidelines and deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
