Job Description

Job Title: Oncology Business Development Manager – Early-Stage Global Health-Tech Startup

Overview:
A rare opportunity to drive both human impact and wealth creation as the first Oncology Business Development Manager in the U.S. market for a well-backed, mission-driven, early-stage health-tech startup. The company's breakthrough cancer solution is projected to improve global oncology outcomes for up to 20 million lives annually. Backed by leading global venture capital firms and a high-performance founding team, this role focuses on bringing the product to market across all major U.S. cancer centers.

About the Role:
This is a high-ownership, high-impact role for someone with 3+ years of oncology-focused business development experience—ideally involving sales to NCI-designated cancer centers. As the first dedicated BDM in this space, you'll define and execute the U.S. go-to-market strategy, from lead generation to closing and implementation. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, values purpose-driven innovation, and wants to leave a lasting mark on the future of cancer care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle for 1500 Commission on Cancer (CoC)-accredited cancer programs, with priority focus on 72 NCI-designated centers.

  • Develop and refine the U.S. sales strategy and execution roadmap.

  • Drive lead generation, lead qualification, outreach, pitching, and closing.

  • Partner with internal teams to shape product delivery to fit cancer center workflows.

  • Build deep relationships across oncology departments and hospital stakeholders.

  • Manage implementations, gather feedback, and lead renewals.

Who You Are:

  • Experience: 3+ years in oncology-specific business development, preferably with experience selling to NCI-designated centers. Health-tech or oncology pharma backgrounds are both valued.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: You’re energized by the challenge of building from zero. You’re no stranger to hearing 60 “no’s” before getting your first “yes.”

  • Resilient & Purpose-Driven: You understand the complexity of U.S. healthcare and bring a deep commitment to advancing cancer care despite short-term hurdles.

  • Mission-Aligned: You are passionate about being part of a global solution that improves cancer mortality and recurrence rates significantly.

Location:
Remote-first role. Headquarters based in New York, USA, but candidates can be located anywhere in the U.S.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary (target: ~$100K)

  • Generous equity package (up to 1% stock options), designed to drive long-term wealth creation

  • Backed by strong investors and a founding team with a track record of rapid success and meaningful exits (including a $300M exit in 18 months)

Why This Role?
You’ll be shaping the future of cancer care at scale. You’ll work alongside a driven, ambitious team and have the chance to make a generational impact while building a substantial personal financial outcome.
