Kennedy Jenks is seeking an individual with strategic vision and a competitive and entrepreneurial mindset to join its 106-year-old tradition of leadership and growth in the California municipal water/wastewater market. This newly created role presents a once in a lifetime opportunity for a proven, hands-on team builder who knows California’s municipal water/wastewater market to help shape the future as a dynamic and successful engineering, scientific, and consulting practice. This senior role will be an essential part of Kennedy Jenks’ California presence, with the resources to provide quality solutions to trusted clients and the flexibility and autonomy to define their career’s legacy.

California’s water future is entering a critical point in time, and the person in this role will have the opportunity to guide infrastructure in the state that will be key to its continued health, security, and prosperity. This professional will have a dedicated team of some of the best water/wastewater professionals working alongside them while they help to secure the future of this industry.

This role will play a pivotal part in the continued growth of the California region and will be responsible for maintaining existing and new client relationships while working closely with executive leadership to develop and implement the market strategy for the team. In addition, this person will maintain high-level project involvement and oversee the delivery of services, strategic endeavors, team-building, strategic hiring and staff development/motivation in collaboration with internal leadership.

This individual will be expected to have well-established municipal water/wastewater contacts in California and the foresight and ambition to help grow the region to the next level. Kennedy Jenks has offices throughout California. Individual can be based from anywhere within California with the expectation to be engaged with the regional team. Requirements:
• 15+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, or related scientific field.
• Licensed PE or PG preferred.
• Background in municipal water and/or wastewater.
• Proven track record in business development with municipal clients in California is required.

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $200,000 to $275,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, skills, licensure/certifications, seniority, geographic location, and performance.
