CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
The Chief Operations Officer plans, directs, coordinates, and oversees operations activities.
This role ensures development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization and its customers. The companies are at a critical juncture of consolidation and growth. A true leader is needed to bring together a group of very strong and skilled technical talent that needs guidance and clarity of purpose to achieve the next level of success.
The operations team has many strengths that require a concerted effort and guided laser focus to achieve desired and necessary status and culture.
Initiatives: The COO establishes, implements and leads the strategic manufacturing and Quality direction through the effective leadership, while utilizing a systems’ view of the organization.
This will involve optimizing operating efficiencies and effectiveness for existing products as well as the successful implementation and launch of new product lines. This will require extensive time allocated towards activities within the manufacturing environment, leading, coaching and managing activities on an ongoing basis. Must remain fully engaged in operational success in energy, mind and spirit.

Clearly establish, define and communicate KPI’s, goals, and expectations and the achievement of such or lack thereof, all while maintaining an environment of respectful accountability. Being open and encouraging to your team “coaching up” along with frequent and regular follow-up, coaching and accountability meetings are all key to success and your personal contribution to our culture.
Various tools will be utilized at the COO’s direction to assure the efficient manufacture of existing product lines, increase pounds per manhour, decrease scrap, maintain high order fill rate and assure the achievement of customer’s specifications for all pro ducts. WIP, rework and hold product will be minimized, with a pervasive mentality of producing products correctly the first time. Leadership, involvement, teamwork and accountability of team members will be critical for success.
This position identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials. New product launches and equipment installation and optimization will be under the direct authority and responsibility of the COO.

Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering or other related field.
- MBA is a positive.
- At least 10 years of general industry-related experience including 3 years in upper management required.
