Chief Operations Officer

The individual we are targeting will help facilitate and improve the current operational structure as well as help us expand to brick and mortar retail locations and also develop an international presence. The COO will report directly to the CEO and interact with him daily.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be working with a C-Level team including CEO, CFO, CMO, CTO and Director of Online Marketing:

  • Drive accountability in key processes by developing and managing performance metrics and goals across all departments.
  • Oversee our supply chain – raw material, component, fulfillment and optimize costs.
  • Handle COGS management, forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, vendor management, logistics, and fulfillment.
  • Develop a “Retail Operations Network” including branding, operations and financial oversight.
  • Assist in development of a “International Network” from a branding, operational and financial perspective.
  • Work with departmental leaders to help develop and implement overall company strategy.
  • Coach and mentor team to improve performance and build positive team spirit.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Background:

  • A track record of developing and leading high-performance teams, with a demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding results.
  • 5+ years of proven success in an operations leadership role with a track record of succeeding in managing a company with sales more than $10 million in yearly revenue and over 25 employees.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, consumer goods or manufacturing, along with an appreciation of fast growth and the quick reactions needed to meet unforeseen demands.
    • Relationship with a partner like Walmart or other large retail distributer is a plus
    • Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is also a plus
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning and KPI processes to measure employee performance.
  • An understanding of when to delegate and when you need to get the job done.
