CNC Manufacturing Process Engineer

Salary: $66,560 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes for improved efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential process issues and develop solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Develop, update, and manage detailed process documentation, work instructions, and operating procedures to ensure production consistency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor ongoing processes to confirm adherence to quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with customers and suppliers daily to assess needs, provide technical support, and ensure optimal process integration.
  • Review and maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements, including necessary documentation in Job Travelers and production controls.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in CNC process engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of machining principles, tooling, and advanced process optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with ISO and AS9100 standards, among other relevant industry-specific standards.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of implementing effective solutions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication abilities and experience working collaboratively with teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in a regulatory demanding environment such as aerospace or medical device manufacturing.
  • Technical expertise in CNC programming and process automation.
  • Demonstrated leadership in project management and process redesign.
