CNC Machinist
Summary:
Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and multi-axis CNC machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts to customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Change out and set up tools
• Operate multi-axis machines
• Dimensionally check parts (up to CMM)
• Read programs and make minor speeds and feeds program changes
• Verify tool lengths and cutter run outs
• Trouble shoot jobs
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
• Accept and adapt easily to change
• Ensures that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement
• Operates job-related equipment with or without an accommodation
• Meets physical demands of job with or without an accommodation
• Other duties as assigned

• Technical school certification preferred, high school diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ year experience
• Proficient using precision measure tools, GD&T, and shop math
• Blueprint reading
• Understand and interpret customer specifications
• Familiar with G and M programming codes
• Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions
• Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, and perform work independently without being prompted
• Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and work within deadlines
• Read, write, and speak English fluently
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
