Position Title: Field Service Technician
Status Non-Exempt Reports to: Regional Service
Manager

Accountability:
 Install and repair machines and accessories at customer site. Provide Technical information on
operation or repair of machines and accessories.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but not limited to the following:
 Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
 Install machines and accessories at customer sites. Installation includes all necessary
assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines and accessories.
 Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and
accessories at customer sites.
 Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair
 Train customers on functions of the machines
 Learn new machines features and accessories as they become available
 Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs
completed, parts installed
 Utilize various test equipment for trouble shooting purpose, indicators, test bars, clamp force,
gages, etc.…

Education/Certification:
 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly
 3-7 years of experience in Field Service
 High School Diploma

Skills:
 Read/understand engineering drawings
 Ability to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasks
 Ability to understand PLC
 HYD/Pneumatic circuits
 General computer skills
 Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis.
 Heavier lifting in excess of 50lbs on periodic basis
 Ability to problem solve depending on situation.
 Sound writing and reporting skills.
 Strong people skills.
