CNC Machinist - Second Shift

We are seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist for a full-time position operating in a clean, temperature-controlled environment where quality and precision are paramount. The role provides an opportunity to work on high-precision products that play a ceremonial role in various demanding sectors including the military and aerospace industries. As a vital part of our team, you will contribute directly to the ongoing success and continuous improvement efforts within our dynamic manufacturing company.

Salary: Up to $83,200 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate automated CNC lathes and mills during second shift hours, ensuring all products meet strict quality standards.
  • Set up machines and make necessary adjustments to handle variations in job specifications and material differences.
  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
  • Utilize a variety of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure products conform to precise specifications.
  • Perform troubleshooting to detect and repair mechanical issues that arise during the machining process.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Document production outcomes and process irregularities to facilitate quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating CNC lathes or mills.
  • Proven track record in machine setup with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Solid understanding of blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and G&M codes.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety and cleanliness in the workplace.
  • Ability to work full-time hours on the second shift from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday.
  • Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder residing within 45 minutes of the Big Bend, Wisconsin area.
